Student Liaison

Flower has been an educator in South Korean for the last 7 years and focused her energy on promoting South Africa within her own groups and network in Korea. She is part of the Sakornet committee that hosts events and supports the South African community in Korea.

Events Coordinator

Justin Harvey is a South African born business owner and entrepreneur in Seoul. Justin runs Shin Medical, a medical tourism business in Korea, facilitating international patients coming to Korea for medial procedures. He also manages an online marketing platform, ‘MyGuideSeoul’ providing visitors to Korea with local tips and suggestions on activities.

Board Member

Roddy is a South African who has been in South Korea for 18 years. He has a Degree in Sport Science and also a degree in Education, both from North West University in South Africa. He and his partner Chris Truter opened Braai Republic a South African style restaurant in the heart of Seoul, Itaewon in 2011.

Chris is a South African who has been in South Korea for 14 years. He has a Degree in Biochemistry from Stellenbosch University, and a MA in English Education from Dankook University. He and his partner Roddy Bancroft opened Braai Republic, a South African style restaurant in the heart of Seoul.


Cuyler Meyer is a South African and business owner in South Korea. Before moving to Korea he worked in the finance industry, specifically in investment fund administration. He was the senior member of a team which administered some of SA’s biggest hedge funds. He moved to Korea in 2012 to teach English and to get out of his comfort zone back home. While teaching at a private institute in Seoul, Cuyler spent his free time teaching business English to business executives.
