
Before coming to Korea, Stephanus attended Stellenbosch University. After arriving in Korea he found himself involved in various organizational positions, mainly centered around the South African community, and often relating to the embassy of RSA in South Korea. Stephanus is a full-time postgraduate law student at Seoul National University in South Korea with an eye on furthering a career in mediation, arbitration and conciliation and other alternative dispute resolutions, particularly in the international field.

Experience
▪Deputy Warden in service of South African Embassy 2011
The Warden system was created in response to North Korean threats to help the South African Embassy in South Korea reach and assist as many South African citizens as possible in case of a national threat.
▪Serving on the Executive committee of SAKORNET 2011-2013
Served as deputy chairperson for two years. Managed several projects for South African citizens in Korea as well as communication between citizens and the embassy.
▪DA-Abroad South Korea representative 2014-2016
▪Secretary General of the South African Chamber of Commerce in Korea 2018-
Tasks include meeting and recruiting new members, liasoning with the South African Embassy and connecting Korean and other investors with the South African Embassy members.
